Widow’s Mite Initiative

The Widow’s Mite Initiative was birthed in 2021 through divine direction — a call to care for widows and senior citizens who are often forgotten and left to struggle alone.

A Vision to Protect the Vulnerable

The Widow’s Mite Initiative was birthed in 2021, when our founder, through a divine vision from God, felt the urgent call to care for one of the most vulnerable and often forgotten groups in our society — senior citizens, especially women who are widows.

When Loss Becomes Loneliness

In many parts of Nigeria, widows are left to carry an unbearable burden. Stripped of their husbands, they are often abandoned by family and overlooked by society.

Many face harsh cultural stigmas that deprive them of inheritance and rob them of dignity. Without steady income, access to healthcare, or even a daily meal, countless widows battle financial inability in silence.

For many, survival means going without food, living in dilapidated homes, or struggling to raise children and grandchildren with no support.

From One Act of Compassion to a Movement

Our founder witnessed this reality firsthand and was deeply moved by the Spirit of God to act.

What began as a small act of compassion — providing food, clothing, and prayer support to a handful of widows in her local community — has since grown into a cornerstone of the Dominion House of Helez Foundation.

How We Restore Hope

Through the Widow’s Mite Initiative, we aim to restore hope, dignity, and security to these precious women.

Beyond physical assistance, we embrace them with love, fellowship, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten in the eyes of God.

This initiative carries the name “Widow’s Mite” to reflect the biblical story where a widow, though she had little, gave all she had to God.

In the same way, these women have poured their lives into families and communities, and now we feel called to pour back into them.

Our Commitment

Our vision is simple yet profound: to feed, clothe, and uplift widows and senior citizens, beginning with 100 women each year and expanding across Nigeria and beyond.

In answering this call, we are not just giving charity — we are honoring the very heart of God.

Be the Mite That Changes a Life

Your generous gift today can restore dignity, hope, and security to a widow who feels forgotten, reminding her she is valued, loved, and never alone.
